Often times, when we first met a person, inside our mind, we will start to formulating thoughts about his or her character, personality and also if he or she is worthy of our trust.
Of course, without having interact with the person before, our best bet about that person’s character, personality and trustworthiness is through his or her look and appearance.
Studies have shown that we tend to “judge a book by its cover” even though we do not mean it, after all, that is the one and only information we have before we start to interact with him or her.
Therefore, next time when you start judging a person, ask yourself are you labeling and stereotyping that person on his looks and appearance. If so, are you being far to him or her?
We all know that people are more than just that appearance. Thus, we will have to learn to look pass the appearance to reach into others’ inner beauty.
And here is one very interesting study shown on BBC Prime about judging one’s trustworthiness on one’s look. Spare some time to watch this short clip. Pretty interesting I must say.

My friend once told me that the law of attraction begins in physical appearance. As you said it is the only information we have or we could get so far, but what about the blind?

Actually everyone has their own way and method of labeling people, regardless whether is it through appearance or hearsay. By the same token, the blind too have their own means of labeling people. Be it through hearing or from other people.
All in all, it is best not to judge a book by its cover, isn’t it? Unless, you are just looking for something to look good on your bookshelf, else it is the content of the book which you should be looking for.
