Now, regardless of others may tell you, you are one unique and special individual with great potential to succeed.

The truth is everyone is born with the ability to succeed, to bring joy, fun, laughter to others and not to forget to change the world to a better place.

And to start making changes to the world, it is essential for you to know where your true potential lies.

Now if you are thinking you have no skills or special talents, then let me bring to your attention that you are not thinking hard enough.

Like everybody else, you do possess the unique skills and talents which only you are being empowered with.

And with that god given ability, you can seek to empower others and yourself.

Thus, your first step to start harnessing the power of your potential is to recognize the fact that you do have one and acknowledge it.

Think about the things that you are good at:

• Sports
• Neat handwriting
• Flair with words
• Good with girls
• Sociable
• Craft making
• Making cookies
• Good figure, legs, overall appearance
• Making caricatures
• Etc… …

To make things easy to understand, when you are trying to discover your potential, look into areas of your life which you know you are good.

Now isn’t that easy to come out with a long list of your hidden potential?

So now with your list of potential, it is time to put on your thinking hat.

Ask yourself these questions

• “With my talents and skills, what can I seek to achieve from them?”
• “What other skills do I need to acquire to complement the ones which I have been empowered with?”
• “Are there any trails left behind by people whom I can follow?”
• “Can I find anyone who has done it before and model after him or her?”
• “What type of help can I get from your friends and family members?”
• “How can I get a mentor to shorten my learning curve and minimize my failures?”

Now don’t stop here. Keep generating more quality questions. Write down your answers on a piece of paper and review them along the way.

With more quality and empowering questions come quality answers. Therefore, learn to ask yourself good questions so as to generate good answers for your future.

Now do you know the best way to hinder your development of your potential?

It is through unnecessary comparison with others. And that is exactly why I mentioned at the very start of the article that everyone is unique and special.

Just mind your own backyard and concentrate on developing your own skills and talents. Don’t get into the vicious cycle of comparing yourself with others.

So what if you do not have the confident and courage to pursue what you like? Well, my best advice is to “Just Do It!”

Get help and support from your friends and family. If they were not supportive of your goals, get help from other people, for example your mentor or someone who believes in you.

Also, you can always start small and build up your confidence and courage along the way.

What is more important is always to take actions towards fulfilling your dreams and never to let your gift goes to waste.

Even if you feel that you are not capable of accomplishing something, just try doing it and learn along the way. Learners are earners and only learners can become successful.

Thus start harnessing the power of your potential now and you will find that success will come to you at a much faster pace than you can imagine.
