Who is Zach Kong?

Hmm... That is one hard question to answer.

Who am I? Truthfully, neither do I know the answer...

But if I must answer, I would say Zach is just a normal guy, a fresh graduate from Singapore university at year 2009, currently working hard in the corporate world to make ends meet.

It has always been his dream to be able to work, not for others, but for himself, his passions and interests.

What are his passions and interests you ask? Well, they are simply to

Be a source of inspiration and motivation for others.
To be able to contribute to the society as much as he can
To utilize his talents and strengths in an empowering and positive way so as to benefits not only himself but others as well.

Sounds a bit heroic and idealistic? Hey, that's what dreams are all about, aren't they? To dream the "impossible" and eventually make them "possible"!

And that is what this website is exactly for! To fulfill my dreams (or at least trying to).

Frankly, you shouldn't get me started talking about myself. I'll not stop.

However, if you are really interested to know more about me, my interests, passions, likes, dislikes etc, what better way than to interact, communicate and converse with me?

Why This Website?

Actually, this website has gone through quite several revamps. This website is not new. It has been online and in operation since 2007!

Since 2007, I've been blogging on this website on topics related to self developement. The initial intention was to share with others my thoughts and opinions and at the same time learning to do affiliate marketing through the website.

Did it go well? Erm... not bad if I would say it myself, but I didn't make it big though. Traffic was flowing in consistently at that time and the site's Alexa ranking was 30,000 at its best if I am not wrong (By the way, the lower the ranking the better. Google is currently holding the number 1 position in Alexa at this point of writing).

Now, this current website's Alexa ranking is no where near to its' past glory...

What Happened to the Website In the Past?

During that time, I was bogged down not only by my studies but other several activities as well that were all vying for my attention.

As a result, the website was neglected and placed on the "shelf" for quite some time (a very long time actually) until one day, I woke up and decided to do something useful about it.

And Wohla! That's what you are currently visiting now.

I will not say that the website is a total revamp. The outlook, yes. The content, maybe.

Throughout the past 3 years or so, I have written no less than 100 articles on self improvement and majority of ithem were written during the first year.

Therefore, for my loyal readers, don't be surprised if you are presented with the same content which you've seen 3 years ago!

And nope, I don't claim to be a self improvement expert. I only enjoying sharing my thoughts and opinions on it, that's all.

As such, rather than letting those articles go to waste and allowing the website to lay dormant for no good reason, I decided to make something useful out from it.

I subsequently "revamp" the website, make it more visually appealing and change the whole direction of it.

Of course not to forget about the improved functionalities of it. I'm intending to add an "Article Submission" section and a "Contributor Only Area" to reward those who actively participate in the "Give a Heart" campaign.

Why The Desire to Revamp the Website Again?

In the past, the website was used to generate revenues for personal gains. However, it is no longer the case now.

Yes, the website is still used as a medium to generate revenues. However, the revenues now do not go into my pockets but into the hands of the needies.

As mentioned in the "Give a Heart" campaign, all proceeds from the sales of eProducts here will be donated to help the less fortunate people in the society.

What Can I Expect From You?

Friendship, honesty and imperfection.

I'm not perfect and do not intend to be.

I always live by one code, "Perfection is God's business, excellence is mine".

As such, you can rest assure that I will give my very best in sharing what I already know and be as accurate as I can be.

However do rememeber that, like you, I am human, and is prone to mistakes. Feedbacks on my areas of improvement is certainly welcomed.

"Gives a Heart" is a self initiated campaign originated in Singapore, by the sole founder of this website, Zach.

Currently at its infant's stage, "Gives a Heart" aims at encouraging NETizens to play a part in creating better lives for the less fortunate families in Singapore and, probably in the future, extending to other charity organizations outside the "small red dot" on the world map called Singapore.

Why "Gives a Heart"?

Everyone wants to play a part in making the world a better place to live in. Often, we work hard not only because we want to make our lives easier, but also with the intention and strong desire to be able to contribute more to the well-beings of others.

However, as we struggle day in and day out to build a better future for ourselves and our loved ones, we gradually neglect those less fortunate people around us.

The people who often have to go hungry while we go out celebrating birthdays. The less fortunate who live day by day while we are in a dilemma on what kind of clothes we should buy for our next coming big occassion?

"Gives a Heart" is a campaign that does not only seek to value adds to the receivers but also aims at giving back to the givers. It is the purpose of this campaign to create a win-win situation for both the receivers and the givers.

How Does 'Gives a Heart' Works?

When you "Gives a Heart" today, you can choose from a gallery of products listed on this website to purchase. All products listed here have no fixed price tagged to them.

Therefore, it is your decision to make as to how much you are willingly to pay for the product.

All proceeds from the sales of the products will be donated to a charity organization in Singapore (currently) known as Club Rainbow.

All transactions are performed through the secured PayPal website. And upon successful transaction, you will be brought to the download page to download the product which you have chosen earlier.

You can also sign up for our "Gives a Heart" newsletter where you will be updated on the latest news on the website and receive additional FREE self improvement eCourses, complementary to all generous contributors of "Gives a Heart" campaign.

Currently, all products in the product gallery are self development related products ranging from eBooks, audios to softwares.

Why Only Club Rainbow and Not Other Charity Organizations?

"Gives a Heart" campaign is not discriminating or favouring any charity organization over another.

It is just that being in its infant stage, it is unsure if "Gives a Heart" campaign can provide for more than one charity organizations at any one time.

As such, we decide to start small, taking baby steps at a time, working towards just one simple goal, to donate all proceeds received from the sales of eProducts in this website to one charity organization for the time being.

And the choice of our charity organization is of course Club Rainbow.

Being an independent not-for-profit organisation in 1992, Club Rainbow has rendering service to children suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses and their families.

As children are the pillars of our society, it is our desire to provide as much as we can to care for and groom them to be the future inspiring leaders of the world.

Since Club Rainbow purely operates on public donations, it is thus part of the society's (and our) responsibility to look after those less fortunate children as well.

So far, Club Rainbow is supporting more than 470 chronically ill children and their families and thus requires alot of help from the public to keep the charity going.

And as to keep in touch with our families and share information, Club Rainbow produces a quarterly newsletter – Rainbow Connection. You can browse past editions of their Rainbow Connection here.

There are also some inspiring stories which show some of the ways how those unfortunate children's and their families' lives can be changed thanks to the public donations.

Making purchases on this website is not the only way to contribute to this worthy "Gives a Heart" campaign.
